The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) helps work toward a better tomorrow for the nearly 60 million Americans living with mental illness and their families. You can take the first step in helping by becoming a NAMI member and add your name to the list of thousands raising their voices to demand services, support and respect for the millions affected by mental illness. Your NAMI membership demonstrates your support for the important work being done at NAMI and helps us make our voices heard in your community, the state capital, as well as the nation’s capital.
Membership helps keep all of NAMI’s programs and services free for participants, and sends a message to legislators and supporters that NAMI represents a unified and growing community of mental health consumers, family members, friends and providers.
Joining is simple! Membership forms may be printed or submitted online here. New memberships must be received by September 30 in the NAMI NC state office to be eligible for the gift card drawing. Individuals who join NAMI will hold an annual membership in all three levels of NAMI; national, state, and also their local affiliate. NAMI members also receive various benefits such as discounts on NAMI collateral and events, newsletters and updates about mental health care issues and developments across North Carolina, and more! For any questions, please contact Lori Matteson at 919-788-0801 ext. 12 or via email at email@example.com.
